This is to alert you of a phone scam that the WV BOP has been made aware of in the last few days. Pharmacies and pharmacists are receiving calls from individuals claiming to be employees of the WV Board of Pharmacy (caller ID indicates the Board's phone number). The callers claim that they are "updating the system" or some similar story and need all of the pharmacy's wholesalers and account numbers, etc. The WV Board of Pharmacy would NOT and is not making these calls and would not be requesting your wholesaler account numbers. Please be aware and alert to keep your information safe and secure.
